Who he is: Matthew was first seen in the group of Others that captured Michael, taking him to the decoy village. He was later seen at the Pala Ferry during the exchange of Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley for Walt and Michael's escape off the Island.

Matthew later does an injection on Sawyer at the Hydra operation room. The Others faked implanting a pacemaker inside Sawyer. Matthew later travelled with Ben and Sawyer when Ben showed Sawyer they were on a different Island.

When the Others were working at the quarry, Matthew was one of the people Alex attacked with her slingshot.

Matthew was one of the ten people who went on a mission to invade the survivors camp to capture the pregnant women. They were ambushed by Sayid, Jin, and Bernard. Jin failed to detonate the dynamite, but managed to shoot Matthew, killing him.
