The Actress: Robin Weigert

Biography: Rachel Carlson is Juliet's sister. Due to chemotherapy to treat cancer, Rachel was left sterile. Juliet was secretly treating her with drugs she had stolen from Edmund Burke's laboratory. She revealed that she was miraculously pregnant, apparently after infertility caused by cancer, indicating that the medications Juliet gave worked.
Ben Linus reported to Juliet that her sister's cancer had returned and that she would die in less than a few months. However, he also swore that iof Juliet stayed on he would cure Rachel. On Wednesday, Spetember 22, 2004, Ben took Juliet to see a live video feed in The Flame of Rachel playing on a playground in Acadia park with her son, Julian.

Who She Is: Juliet's sister who was sterile because of chemotherapy.

In Flashbacks: In "Not in Portland",Juliet walked down the hallway, passing by Ethan. She goes inside an apartment. Inside is Rachel, sleeping. She wakes her up to give her an injection. It turns out that they are both in Miami. Juliet was secretly giving Rachel which she stole from the lab she worked at. Rachel had cancer, and the chemotherapy prevented her from getting pregnant. Juliet goes to a meeting at for joining Mittelos Bioscience, with the encouragement from Rachel. When she goes back to the apartment, she finds out the Rachel became pregnant. Rachel used a pregnancy test made by Widmore Labs.

In "One of Us", Juliet leaves to go to Mittelos Bioscience, which she finds out is on the island. She says goodbye to Rachel, and promises she will be back in three months. At the Island, Ben says to Juliet that Rachel's cancer had come back, and that Jacob would cure her if she stays on the island. Juliet is forced to stay on the island. Later, Ben takes her to the Flame during the day of the plane crash. On the TV, she sees Rachel and her son, Julian, who is now a toddler. Rachel's cancer was cured.
