RE: Kate and Hurley find a hatch with connections to Downtown Tokyo!
May 26 2007, 3:17 PM EDT Yes,that episode of Jeopardy was about 2 to 3 months ago and I do believe they were right as it is a serious money quiz show. They could be sued for being wrong, especially if a contestant lost as a result of it. I don't think it means that there is a tunnel leading to Tokyo, but probably communication connections or something like that. I couldn't imagine Dharma or anyone building a tunnel thousands of miles under the Pacific to connect to Tokyo! Well we will have to wait til next year or whenever that episode airs to find out. I suspect this was one of them. The idea was to name a couple of characters from a show (Kate and Hurley), a key plot point that has been used (the existence of multiple hatches) and add something humourous. Try to search out the other questions from that category and I think you'll find they're in no way real information. Honestly, I think Jeopardy would be in more trouble for giving away future plot points of a popular television show. Do you find this valuable? |

May 28 2007, 10:36 AM EDT There's a website for everything. Check out the Jeopardy Archive (http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=1784&highlight=lost) and I think you'll agree that the category's answers were for humourous effect. Do you find this valuable? |

I wouldn't think that Jeopardy would ever reveal spoilers, because there would probably be outrage. Not that it matters, but on that website, it is question 23. That sounds familiar! RE: Kate and Hurley find a hatch with connections to Downtown Tokyo
May 28 2007, 2:55 PM EDT I couldn't get that website,it kept showing website unavailable or something. Anyway I do not know much about some of Jeopardy's subject categories,I always thought it had accurate info being a quiz show. You are probably right but what if they are right? Maybe they asked permission from the producers of tv shows to reveal future plots. The producers and writers of Lost should be able to tell put us right about the whole matter. RE: Kate and Hurley find a hatch with connections to Downtown Tokyo
May 28 2007, 10:10 PM EDT You certainly can think that if you like, but as an avid Jeopardy viewer I can assure you that they frequently have humourous categories. I would be willing to bet my wedding ring that they didn't contact producers to get real future plots. If you'd like to see the site and the link isn't working for some reason, do a google search for Jeopardy Archive (it should be the first result). Choose the 23rd season, and the game's date was 3/26/07. Do you find this valuable? |

May 29 2007, 6:04 PM EDT It was probably just made for humor. I believe one of the questions stated that on "Extreme Makeover Home Edition" Bill Gates is going to get a home makeover. Do you find this valuable? |

Jun 24 2008, 9:18 PM EDT Ok, so I am a little late on this one, but I saw a rerun of this Jeopardy show and I also was puzzled by the Tokyo thing!! Just to make you feel better, I didn't get that it was suppose to be humorous either, the contestants of the show need to lighten up and laugh a little, so I won't be so LOST again!! I checked out the website posted and sure enough I now understand they were "trying" to be amusing...just not very good at it if you ask me. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
